Four Point Inspection, Wind Mitigation Inspection, Roof Inspections, FL

Four Point Inspection is a requirement for many homeowners insurance providers. It is important for homeowners to know what is going to be inspected during the Four Point Inspection and what could be the findings and results.


Four areas are: Electrical System, Plumbing Section, HVAC System and Roofing System.


Electrical System: In electrical section the most common issues detect are: a). double taps b). cloth wirings and c). older/excluded electrical breakers (Federal Pacific, Zinsco etc).






Plumbing System: In plumbing section the most common issues detect are: a). leaks under sink traps, b). Pex piping, c). missing drip pans under water heater and d). galvanized and or cast iron pipings.


HVAC System: The most common issues detect in HVAC system is disfunctional devices, leaks in duct works, faulty thermostats, heating/cooling systems does not fuction etc.





Roofing System: Roofing system is one of the most important areas of the Four Point Inspeciton. Insurance companies like to know about the current condition of the roof, age of it and life expectancy of the roof. Insurance acceptability is largely depends on it.
